Superstar Salman Khan In Talks To Headline A Film On Galwan Valley Conflict
Mumbai, May 1 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is reportedly in talks to headline a film based on the Galwan Valley conflict between India and China. The actor was last seen in director A. R. Murugadoss' action drama Sikandar, which underperformed at the box office.
Over the last few weeks, Salman Khan has been offered films from different filmmakers. According to the report by The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor has shown interest in a project based on the Galwan clash, which happened in 2020.
Director Apoorva Lakhia, known for films like Shootout at Lokhandwala, Mission Istaanbul, Zanjeer, and Haseena Parkar, is said to be the frontrunner to direct the project in question. The film will chronicle the deadly conflict which broke out in June 2020, where 20 Indian soldiers and over 40 Chinese soldiers were killed.
Meanwhile, apart from the aforementioned film, Salman Khan also reportedly got offers from Ali Abbas Zafar and Kabir Khan. There is also some progress on Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2, which is in the early stage of development. Meanwhile, the actor has already announced Kick 2 in the pipeline.
