Superstar Mahesh Babu To Mark His Hindi Debut With SS Rajamouli's Pan-India Film

Hyderabad, October 14 - Mahesh Babu is one of the few Tollywood actors who carry a huge fan-following among the Hindi audiences. Even though he never worked in a Hindi film, his dubbed Telugu movies have been massive hits on their television premiere.

It is his popularity among the Hindi audience that he has been receiving multiple offers from Bollywood for years. While he time and again has affirmed that the Telugu cinema is his priority, the "Pokiri" actor never rejected the idea of making his Bollywood film debut.



There have been many rumors about his Hindi debut in the past but none turned true. Well, the wait for the Hindi audience to see Telugu superstar on the big screen is finally coming to an end as Mahesh Babu's next film is with Baahubali director SS Rajamouli and it will be a Pan-India film.

The Maharshi actor is currently shooting for Parasuram's directorial "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" day-in-day-out. After completing his ongoing film, he will jump into SS Rajamouli's next and that will be Babu's foray into the Hindi film industry. In an email interview with Forbes India, Mahesh Babu confirmed that his next will be with Rajamouli and it will be a Pan India flick.

"I have always wanted to do the right film at the right time if it was a Hindi film. And I think the time is now... my next is with SS Rajamouli sir [director of Baahubali] and that will be in all languages", Mahesh Babu said.



Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the OTT platforms have been on the rise as they became the first choice medium to consume entertainment in the absence of a big-screen release. This led to a debate that pandemic is proving a threat to theatres. However, Mahesh Babu does not believe in this theory and said that theaters are here to stay.

"You can't imagine a world without a theatre… most films are enjoyed on the big screen as opposed to on your mobile. My films specifically are catered for the big screen. Theatres are definitely here to stay", the actor said.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata is scheduled to release on January 13, 2022, in theaters worldwide.
