Spoiler: WWE NXT UK Championship Vacated At TV Tapings

WWE NXT UK champion has vacated the title at TV tapings.

As reported by Inside The Ropes, at Wednesday’s NXT UK tapings, Dragunov announced he was forced to vacate his NXT UK Championship due to injury.



However, The nature of the injury was not disclosed but he was wearing a walking boot. During the show it was announced that an eight-man tournament would be held to crown a new champion. The tournament also started during the tapings and in the first-round matches, Tyler Bate, Mark Coffey, Trent Seven, and Oliver Carter advanced to the semi-finals.

On August 22, at NXT TakeOver 36, Dragunov defeated Walter in yet another critically acclaimed match by submission, ending the Austrian's two-year hold on the NXT United Kingdom Championship.

During his reign, he has successfully retained the title against A-Kid, Rampage Brown, Roderick Strong, and Jordan Devlin, now JD McDonagh.
