Spider-Man: No Way Home Surpasses Titanic's Original Worldwide Box Office Run

Mumbai, February 28 - Marvel/Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has clearly refused to die down at the box office, be it domestic or overseas.

The superhero movie, starring Tom Holland in the title role, grossed $12.8 million worldwide this weekend, pushing the global haul to $1.85 billion. The domestic cume stands at $779.9 million while overseas, it has grossed. $1.07 billion.



In a major achievement, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has surpassed "Titanic's" original 1997/1998 global box office run of $1.84 billion. Including revenue from the 2012 and 2017 reissues, "Titanic's" final global box office reached $2.2 billion, which is the 3rd biggest of all time.

The Top 10 markets outside North America for "No Way Home" to date are the UK ($127.3M), Mexico ($76.2M), France ($65.2M), Korea ($63.1M), Australia ($67.9M), Brazil ($56.1M), Germany ($50M), Russia ($46.7M), India ($36.7M), Japan ($35.1M).

"Spider-Man: No Way Home" has already become the 3rd highest-grossing film of all time at the domestic (North America) box office by surpassing "Avatar's $759 million. The Jon Watts-directed is now eyeing to finish its domestic run between $795 million and $805 million.



In the film, Peter Parker (Holland) asks Dr. Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch) to use magic to make his identity as Spider-Man a secret again following its public revelation at the end of Far From Home. When the spell goes wrong, the multiverse is broken open which allows visitors from alternate realities to enter Parker's universe.

The 3rd MCU Spider-Man movie also stars Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Benedict Wong, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire.
