Shahid Kapoor-Fronted Brigadier Bulsara's Biopic 'Bull' To Release In April 2023

Mumbai, November 17 - Nearly a month ago on October 21, producers Bhushan Kumar, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta jointly announced their next big-budgeted film "Bull" featuring Shahid Kapoor in the title role. While the shooting of the film is yet to commence, makers have already set the release date. To be directed by debutante Aditya Nimbalkar, "Bull" will be hitting theaters on 7 April 2023.

Set in the 1980s, "Bull" is inspired by events from the life of Brigadier Bulsara, who led Operation Cactus in 1988 in the Maldives to help Maldivian forces to take back control of the country after a group made a coup attempt of Maldivians led by businessman Abdullah Luthufi and assisted by armed mercenaries of a Tamil secessionist organization from Sri Lanka, the People's Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE).



"Bull is a full-blown action film inspired by real events from the life of Brigadier Bulsara", Shahid had said earlier. "It is a privilege to play a paratrooper who leads his boys through a historic and selfless mission that has now become iconic for its precision and bravado. The opportunity to play a paratrooper is exhilarating and truly an honor".

The script and screenplay of "Bull" are written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh, who have been in demand for quite some now. The film will jointly be produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Amar Butala and Garima Mehta's Guilty By Association. It marks Shahid's second collaboration with T-Series after the blockbuster "Kabir Singh".
