SSMB29: SS Rajamouli's Next With Mahesh Babu To Go On Floors In April 2024

Hyderabad, November 6 - After the monumental success of "RRR", maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli's next film is with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. Tentatively titled SSMB 29, the movie was supposed to commence in 2023 but the script warranted more time to get completed which pushed the plans further.

Now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, SS Rajamouli and his father, KV Vijayendra Prasad are expected to lock the final screenplay draft by the end of this year and are looking to start the filming by April 2024. It will be a jungle adventure film, to be made on a global standard by keeping the Indian touch to it.



The expectations from SSMB 29 are sky-high after the massive worldwide success of "RRR". According to the report, SSR is in talks with Disney and Sony to partner on this feature film with the idea of taking the content to the remotest corners of the world. There is a new set of audiences has emerged for an SSR movie which has opened the gate for Hollywood studios to partner with India's one of the finest ever filmmakers.

While the film will have a lot of VFX, the shoot will take place at real locations in India and abroad. The movie is said to be deeply rooted in Indian culture just like the previous films of SSR and it is said that Mahesh Babu's character will have traits of Lord Hanuman in the film.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is currently shooting for "Guntur Kaaram" under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. The film is scheduled to release on January 13, 2024, and after its release, the actor will start preparation for SSR's film.
