Shah Rukh Khan's Film With Rajkumar Hirani To Feature One Of Best Casting Ever?

Mumbai, July 25, 2021: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be making his big-screen comeback in 2022 with Yash Raj Films' "Pathan". The movie is currently on floors and will soon be wrapped in a couple of months. While the movie is due for the official announcement, the Sidharth Anand directorial also features John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in lead roles while Salman Khan reportadly plays a cameo.

Other than Pathan, Shah Rukh Khan will be doing Rajkumar Hirani's social drama along with Tamil director Atlee Kumar's next. Talking about Rajkumar Hirani's film, it is said to be based on the real-life incident of immigration. It will reportadly revolve around a journey of a man and his family across two nations.



The film marks SRK's first collaboration with Hirani. There were talks back in 2003 of the duo coming together for Munnabhai MBBS which couldn't materialize. Meanwhile, other than SRK's long-awaited collaboration with Hirani, the movie is also in news for its potential star cast.

As per reports, Kajol will play one of the female leads in the film. One of the most iconic on-screen pairs of Indian cinema, SRK-Kajol, will reportadly be uniting for the first time since Dilwale (2015). Apart from Kajol and SRK, there is a strong buzz that Boman Irani, Vidya Balan, Manoj Bajpayee, and Taapsee Pannu will also be featuring in the film.

If the reports about the casting of the film have anything to go by, then it is surely going to be one of the best casting coups ever with some of the most talented actors coming together in one frame. However, none of the actors has confirmed yet to feature alongside SRK in the film.

The shooting of the film is expected to begin in April 2022. Before that, SRK will finish Atlee's film, which will also be marking their first collaboration. Atlee's film with SRK will begin after the actor finishes Pathan.
