Shah Rukh Khan Joins Hands With Rajkumar Hirani For A Social Comedy, Dunki; Sets Christmas 2023 Release

Mumbai, April 19 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, after months of speculations, has officially announced his maiden collaboration with one of the finest directors of Indian cinema, Rajkumar Hirani, for a social comedy-drama film, based on illegal immigration.

Rajkumar Hirani has given some of the biggest blockbusters of all time in the form of "Pk", "Sanju", "3 Idiots", and "Munna Bhai" films. His film with SRK has been titled "Dunki", and it will be released on 22 December 2023 on the occasion of Christmas. The shooting has already begun in Mumbai last week.



The announcement of the film was made through a hilarious video. "Dear @RajkumarHirani sir, Aap toh Mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. actually main toh set par hi rehne lagunga. Feeling humbled & excited to finally work with you. Bringing to you all #Dunki in cinemas on 22nd December 2023", SRK wrote on Twitter.



"Dunki" is produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan under their banners of Rajkumar Hirani Films and Red Chillies Entertainment in association with JIO Studios. Taapsee Pannu is playing the female lead while Boman Irani will be seen in a key role.
