Salman Khan's 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali' Gets Mega Offer For Post-Theatrical Release?

Mumbai, February 21 - The blockbuster duo of superstar Salman Khan and filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala are reuniting for their next venture, "Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali". The movie was announced many moons back and now, it is finally ready to go on floors in March 2022.

The movie will mark Sajid and Salman's 7th collaboration and it will be directed by Farhad Samji. Pooja Hegde will play the female lead opposite Salman in the film while Telugu star Venkatesh Daggubati will mark his Bollywood comeback after nearly 27 years with Salman Khan-fronted.



The fact that Salman Khan is such a huge superstar, his film with Sajid Nadiadwala is already getting a lot of tempting post-theatrical streaming and satellite offers. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan is set to ink the biggest post-theatrical release streaming deal with an 8-week window for the digital premiere. It is reported that the makers have received a whopping Rs. 150 crores offer for the satellite and digital rights.

Due to the covid-19 pandemic, many Bollywood movies have kept a 4-weeks theatrical window before they arrive on OTT platforms. However, from the second half of 2022, the industry is expected to move to an old 8-weeks window. If the deal of "Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali" gets locked on Rs. 150 crores, it would be the biggest non-theatrical deal of all time with a conventional window.

"Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali" will be released on the ocassion of Eid 2023.
