Roman Reigns vs. The Rock is all set to headline WWE WrestleMania 40.

At Friday's SmackDown, The Rock made a surprise appearance challenging Roman Reigns to a WrestleMania match. Cody Rhodes, the Royal Rumble winner, announced he'd face Reigns but not at WrestleMania.



Instead, he chose Seth Rollins. The Rock, consulted by Rhodes, confronted Reigns, setting up the WrestleMania 40 main event.

WWE confirmed the match on their website, making Rock vs. Reigns official, while Rhodes now targets Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.

WWE announced a press event on February 8 in Las Vegas, streaming live on Peacock, where Reigns vs. The Rock is likely to be confirmed for WrestleMania 40. Cody Rhodes is now set to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, following a tease on Monday's Raw.

Punk's triceps injury at Royal Rumble prompted a shift from Punk vs. Rollins and Reigns vs. Rhodes to Rock vs. Reigns and Rhodes vs. Rollins as the potential WrestleMania title programs.
