Roman Reigns Gets Emotional During 'Biography: Legends' Episode Featuring His Late Brother
Roman Reigns, known for his stoic persona on WWE television, shed tears during a recent episode of "WWE and A&E Biography: Legends." The episode focused on Reigns' life and career, and featured a touching moment where he was shown a clip of an interview with his late brother, Matt Anoa'i.
In the interview, Matt spoke highly of Roman's dedication and work ethic, predicting great things for him. Matt said, "He had something special... That specialty was something to do with athletics.
Just his focus in the gym, focus all through high-school and college, he knew. Joe [Roman Reigns] was set for something great. He's setting the bar for our family that much higher."
The clip clearly moved Reigns, who was visibly emotional. Matt, who wrestled in WWE under the name Rosey, had a successful career himself, winning the World Tag Team Championships with The Hurricane.
Matt tragically passed away in 2017 from complications related to congestive heart failure. The "Biography: Legends" episode served as a heartfelt tribute to the Anoa'i family bond and the impact Matt had on his brother's life.
