Bengaluru, December 9 - Actress Rashmika Mandanna has been under the radar of Kannada film fans for allegedly saying something against the industry. The actress, who made her debut with the Kannada movie " Kirik Party" (2016) wasn't keen on uttering the name of the production house that gave her her first acting opportunity, in one of the recent interviews.
Rashmika's alleged negligence toward Kannada cinema led to an uproar and there were reports that Kannada production and distribution houses have decided to ban Rashmika and her films in Karnataka state, however, the same wasn't made official.
Now, the "Pushpa" actress has reacted to the rumors and said that there is no truth about her ban in Kannada. She has always been one of the least-loved actresses from the very beginning of her career, but Rashmika said that people are overreacting to her about her personal life.
"What happens in my personal life remains with me and those connected with me. During Kantara's release, a few people overreacted unnecessarily to me. But I didn't take it seriously. I even messaged Kantara's cast and crew to congratulate them on the success. I can't show all these messages to the public just to prove my point", Rashmika said.
The actress further shut the social media murmur and said that she respects Kannada cinema a lot and there is no such thing as she is getting banned from the Kannada language industry. She even went on to say that if the right offer comes her way, she is ready to work in Kannada.
On the work front, Rashmika will next be seen in the Tamil movie "Varisu", opposite Thalapathy Vijay. The movie is scheduled to release at the Pongal festival 2023 in Tamil and Telugu. She will also start shooting for "Pushap 2" soon.
