Rashmika Mandanna Opens Up On Her Role In Thalapathy 66

Chennai, June 11 - Kannada beauty Rashmika Mandanna has truly come a long way in just a short span of her career. She is currently one of the busiest actresses in the country who has been working across different languages.

Rashmika is also a part of Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie, tentatively titled "Thalapathy 66". The "Pushpa" actress is playing the female lead opposite Thalapathy and this has always been her dream to act with the superstar.



The 26-year-old actress, during a recent interview with Filmfare, opened up about her role in the movie and said, "The character I am playing in the film is fiercely headstrong. She is someone who stands up for herself and is supportive and protective of her people". She added that Thalapathy 66 is a film for families, which she always wanted to do".

Rashmika has always been a huge fan of Thalapathy Vijay. When the movie was officially launched, Rashmika was caught on camera adoring the superstar.

When asked whether she is really a big fan of "Master" actor, she said, "Recently, I went to my best friend's wedding and I was surrounded by the girl who I've known literally since I was 12 and all we were talking about was how we'd get our dads to get us Vijay Sir's film CDs and how we'd all watch and dance watching him and things... so I've always, always adored Sir and finally getting to work with Sir makes me very happy".

Thalapathy 66 is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. The movie is scheduled to release on Pongal 2023 in Tamil and Telugu.
