San Francisco, 8 November - Since its inception in 2019, AEW has emerged as an attractive destination for several former WWE wrestlers who found themselves released by the company. Over the years, AEW has secured the services of a substantial number of ex-WWE talents, including notable names such as Jeff Hardy, Bryan Danielson (formerly known as Daniel Bryan), Samoa Joe, Adam Cole, Adam Copeland (formerly Edge), Sting, CM Punk, Paige, and many other prominent WWE stars.

The influx of new talent into AEW has intensified the competition among wrestlers, pushing them to elevate their performance levels and deliver more compelling matches. However, some fans have criticized AEW for its tendency to denigrate WWE and its roster, deeming it unprofessional and unnecessary.

It's noteworthy that the notion of an AEW talent considering a move to WWE was initially challenging to fathom. The motivation behind such a shift might stem from AEW's penchant for signing more high-profile WWE stars, potentially resulting in reduced opportunities for their long-standing talents.

It's worth mentioning that many WWE stars were released during Vince McMahon's tenure, but under Triple H's leadership, the situation appears to be improving. As a result, AEW talents now see a potential path to WWE. A significant recent acquisition by WWE from AEW was Jade Cargill, and there are ongoing rumors suggesting that CM Punk, MJF, Will Ospreay, and other AEW stars might contemplate a transition to WWE.

Now, let's consider the top 5 AEW stars who could potentially sign with WWE:

#1. MJF:

MJF is currently one of the most popular stars in AEW and has been the subject of ongoing rumors about WWE's interest in him. As a skilled heel, he has the potential to become a major player in WWE if he chooses not to re-sign with AEW when his contract expires.

MJF is the reigning AEW World Champion and has indicated his interest in potentially wrestling for WWE. Given his preference for a higher paycheck, if WWE offers him a more lucrative contract, it's possible we could see MJF make the transition to the WWE Universe.

#2. Will Ospreay:

Speculation regarding Will Ospreay's potential move to WWE has persisted for some time, although there hasn't been any official confirmation. Ospreay's contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling is due to end in February 2024, and he's currently weighing his options.

Reports suggest that WWE has expressed interest in securing Ospreay's services, and there have been indications of initial discussions between the two parties. Nevertheless, Ospreay has also been associated with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and is reportedly impressed with the company's overall presentation and the talent on its roster.

#3. CM Punk:

Since his departure from AEW, there has been ongoing speculation about the possibility of CM Punk making a return to WWE. Recently, CM Punk's official WWE Alumni profile underwent an update.

It's important to note that the update to CM Punk's WWE Alumni profile does not serve as confirmation of an imminent return, but it certainly has generated significant interest and discussion among fans. Currently, CM Punk remains a highly discussed figure in the world of professional wrestling, largely due to his status as a free agent and the potential for a WWE comeback. Punk's contract was terminated for just cause on September 2, following the unanimous recommendation of the AEW discipline committee and external legal counsel.

#4. Darby Allin:

Darby Allin is a charismatic and exciting performer who has a unique style of wrestling. He is a former TNT Champion and has been a fan favorite in AEW. He could be a major draw for WWE.

#5. Thunder Rosa:

Thunder Rosa is a former NWA Women's Champion and is one of the most respected female wrestlers in the world. She is a skilled technician and has a strong following. She could be a major addition to WWE's women's division.
