Pooja Hegde Reveals Heartwarming Reason Behind Doing Rohit Shetty's 'Cirkus'

Mumbai, March 23 - Pooja Hegde is one of the busiest actresses in the country and has multiple films in the pipeline across different languages. The actress was recently seen opposite Prabhas in "Radhe Shyam". Though the movie has bombed at the box office Pooja's act got appreciation from the critics and audiences alike.

The "Housefull 4" actress will next be seen opposite Thalapathy Vijay in the Tamil action thriller, "Beast", which is scheduled to release on April 13. She also has the Telugu movie, "Acharya" ready for release on April 29, apart from two more Hindi films in the form of "Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali", and "Cirkus".



The Hindi film line-up of Pooja Hegde is looking solid. She has been paired with Salman Khan in KEKD, which will go on floors next month. Meanwhile, the actress is really looking forward to Rohit Shetty-directed "Cirkus", which is an out-and-out comedy entertainer. Ranveer Singh plays the male lead in the film that is expected to release in July or August this year.

"Cirkus" is different from Pooja's rest of the other upcoming films. This is the first time when she is doing a film with Rohit Shetty, who is called a hit machine in the Bollywood film industry. The actress revealed in a recent interview that her family, especially her father, is a huge fan of Rohit Shetty's films.

"My father is one of those movie buffs in the house who live with the character, behave like them for as long as one week post the watching of the movie. After we watched the film 'Singham', my dad got a temporary 'Singham' tattoo and 'Aata Majhi Satakli' was his takiya kalam for few days".



The actress further revealed that she has done "Cirkus" only for her father. "Yes, in our house, my father is the greatest entertainer and I have done Rohit sir's film 'Cirkus' for my father. I hope when the film releases we all get some extraordinarily entertaining response from papa".

"Cirkus" is Rohit Shetty's first outright comedy film outside the Golmaal franchise. It is produced by Rohit Shetty Productions in association with Reliance Entertainment, and T-Series. The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Johnny Lever, Varun Sharma, Murali Sharma, and Sanjay Mishra in key roles.
