Parineeti Chopra On Playing Saina Nehwal In Saina's Biopic

Actress Parineeti Chopra received an excellent response for his recently released film, "The Girl On The Train". In her next movie, the actress will be essaying the role of Indian Badminton player, Saina Nehwal. The film, titled "Saina" is a biographical drama film revolving around the life of former world number 1 and Olympic medalist, Saina Nehwal.

On playing Saina in the movie, Parineeti said that it is a huge responsibility to essay Saina on the big screen. "She is a legend and I was very scared about how people will react", Parineeti said during the trailer launch of the film on Monday.



She is, however, happy with the response to the poster. "I'm overwhelmed with the love we are getting from all over the world. The film is a celebration of the unending spirit that lies in each woman".

Talking about the film and Parineeti playing her, Saina Nehwal said, "Everything is quite surreal. What I have achieved in life is all due to the constant support of my family. It has been my huge honor to play a sport I love and put my country on a pedestal while achieving my dream. Parineeti is a fabulous actor and we both connected so easily when we met. I wish the team all the best for the film and hope everyone leaves the theatre with dreams".

The biopic is directed by Amole Gupte and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sujay Jairaj, and Rasesh Shah under the banners of T-Series, and Front Foot Pictures. The film is scheduled to release on March 26 in theaters.
