Netflix Top 10: 'Rebel Moon' Tops 50 Million Views; 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' Debuts In Top 5

Mumbai, January 3 - Netflix released its weekly viewership chart and Zack Snyder's sci-fi epic Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire stayed on top for the second week in a row worldwide by a huge margin.
The over $160 million budgeted flick, despite the poor reviews, has crossed 50 million views and over 100 million viewing hours in the first 10 days. After debuting at number 1 with 54.1 million viewing hours from 23.9 million views, the movie scored 77 million viewing hours from 34 million views in the week of December 25 - December 31, 2023.
The total viewership of "Rebel Moon" is 131.1 million viewing hours from 57.9 million views in the first 10 days. The numbers are good considering the poor reviews from critics at 24% and the average response from audiences at 60% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Starring Sofia Boutella, the film is set in a fictional galaxy ruled by the imperialistic Motherworld, whose military, the Imperium, threatens a farming colony on the moon of Veldt. Kora, a former Imperium soldier, ventures on a quest to recruit warriors from across the galaxy to make a stand against the Imperium before they return to Veldt.
Meanwhile, the coming-of-age Bollywood drama film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan debuted at number 4 in the non-English category with 6.3 million viewing hours from 2.8 million views in its first weekend. The movie is riding on positive reviews and is expected to see viewership jumping in the coming days.
Directed by debutante Arjun Varain Singh and produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films, the film stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Adarsh Gourav as three friends who navigate their goals and relationships against the pressures of social media.
Nimrit Kaur and Radhika Madan's Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video also remained in the top 10 for the second week in a row at Netflix. It scored 4.3 million viewing hours from 2.3 million views during the week of December 25-31, 2023, while the total viewership of the film has reached 6 million viewing hours from 3.2 million views in 10 days.
