Marvel Studios' Disney+ Series 'Ms. Marvel' To Release In Theaters In Pakistan

Mumbai, May 4 - Marvel Studios' upcoming superhero series on Disney+, "Ms. Marvel" is getting special treatment as it will be released in theaters in Pakistan. The announcement of the theatrical release of the series was made on the occasion of Eid by one of the directors Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy via Instagram.

While Disney+ series are usually held for the streaming platform, "Ms. Marvel" is getting special treatment to celebrate the introduction of the first Pakistani Marvel superhero, Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani), into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the reasons to release it in theaters is also because Disney+ has not yet launched in Pakistan.



Many people might be wondering how it will get a theatrical release, well, the makers have plans for it. Disney and Marvel will be especially creating a cinema format version of the six-episode series for Pakistan, split into three parts. The first two episodes will debut in theaters on 16th June 2022. The next two episodes will be screened on June 30th while the final two will be released on July 14th.

Marvel Studios describes the show: "Introduces Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Pakistani American from Jersey City. An aspiring artist, an avid gamer, and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she is a huge fan of the Avengers, and one in particular, Captain Marvel. But Kamala has always struggled to find her place in the world—that is until she gets superpowers like the heroes she's always looked up to. Iman Vellani, a Pakistani-Canadian actress, stars as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel".

Created by Bisha K. Ali, "Ms. Marvel" will premiere on July 8th as a part of Phase Four of the MCU. The series will serve as a set-up for the film The Marvels (2023), in which Vellani will reprise her role as Khan along with additional cast members from the series.
