Mumbai, August 11 - Aamir Khan returns to the big screen after almost 4 years with comedy drama Laal Singh Chaddha, which has been released in theaters today. The Advait Chandan-directed film is the official remake of Tom Hanks's classic Hollywood blockbuster, Forrest Gump (1994).

Laal Singh Chaddha follows the events in India's history unfold through the perspective of Laal Singh Chaddha (Aamir Khan), a dim-witted man who has a great understanding of emotions. Ahmad Ibn Umar plays Young Laal in the movie that also stars Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya (in his Hindi film debut), and Mona Singh in key roles.
