Kartik Aaryan To Star In A Romantic-Thriller 'Freddy'

Mumbai, July 31, 2021: It's been raining films for Bollywood heartthrob, Kartik Aarya. After announcing two films recently, the actor has now confirmed one more film in his growing list. The Luka Chuppi actor is all set to star in a romantic-thriller film, Freddy. It will be directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Jay Shewakramani.

Sharing his excitement, Kartik is looking forward to bringing the romantic thriller to life. "As an actor, I crave to explore different facades of entertainment and with Freddy, I'm venturing into an uncharted territory which is both exciting and intriguing in equal measures. I look forward to dwelling in the world of Freddy and bring alive this dark romantic thriller".



The film, Freddy, marks Kartik's first collaboration with Ekta as well as with Jay Shewakramani and director Ghosh. He said that he "Couldn't have asked for a better team on this new journey". The movie is said to be shot entirely in Mumbai, and it will go on floors on August 1st.

Ekta is thrilled to have Kartik on board. "His choices of the subject have always been unique and this one is no different. I'm excited to take the audience into this dark, delicious world. Collaborating with Jayu makes it even more special!".

Apart from "Freddy", Kartik also has Satyanarayan Ki Katha, Captain India, Dostana 2, and Ala Vaikunthapurramloo remake in the pipeline. His "Dhamak" is ready for release on Netflix in the month of October. He also said to be in talks to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film.
