James Anderson Becomes The First Pacer To Take 600 Test Wickets; Twitterati React

The England's spearhead, James Anderson becomes the first-ever fast bowler to claim 600 Test wickets. With the wicket of Pakistan's captain, Azhar Ali on Day 5 of the final Test of the series in Southampton, Anderson entered the 600 wickets club.

The swing bowler from Burnley, Lancashire, made his Test debut way back against Zimbabwe at Lord's in 2003, where he picked up a five-for. Since then, he has gone on to take 29 five-wicket hauls and three 10-wicket hauls for the match.



With 600 wickets, he has now become the 4th highest wicket-taker in the history of the Test cricket. He is only behind Muttiah Muralitharan (800), Shane Warne (708), and Anil Kumble (619). Among the pacers, he is way ahead than the second-best Glenn McGrath who has 563 wickets to his name.
