Roman Reigns will be defending the unified WWE Universal title this Saturday night against Drew McIntyre at the 2022 Clash at the Castle PLE and there has been an intresting report regarding the title change.



Twitter account @WrestleVotes is reporting that for the first time in a long time, there has been some discussion creatively regarding Roman Reignss dropping the title(s). Per the report, multiple ideas have intrigued those making the final call come Saturday in Cardiff.

For his run as the WWE Universal champion, Reigns is now regarded as one of the greatest champions of all time and the idea was to make him stronger than ever for his match with The Rock at WrestleMania.

Back when Reigns unified the titles at WrestleMania earlier this year, the idea was always to split the WWE and Universal titles, which is why Reigns still holds both belts and the company has never released a new title.
