Hrithik Roshan-Fronted 'War 2' Is In Development At Yash Raj Films

Mumbai, February 18 - Yash Raj Films is back in form with Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" which is running riot at the box office. The studio is now developing more films in its ambitious spy universe which is the biggest superstar of the Bollywood film industry.

YRF already has Salman Khan's "Tiger 3" in the post-production work, scheduled for Diwali 2023 release. The studio also working on the biggest film of it yet with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan coming together. However, the letter might take some time to get off the ground.



Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, the next film in the spy universe after "Tiger 3" will be Hrithik Roshan-fronted "War 2". It is said that the sequel has been written and the pre-production work has already started. "War 2" will be the massive crossover of the previous films in the spy universe.

"The sequel has been written in such a way that it has a connection with the previous spy stories. Hrithik will return as Major Kabir Dhaliwal; however, it's yet unknown if the film will tell Kabir's backstory with Jim (John Abraham) or it'll be set in a completely new setting", report says.

Hrithik has reportedly given his dates for "War 2" which is said to be his immediate next after the currently on floor "Fighter". It is expected to start production by the end of 2023. It is also not confirmed yet whether Siddharth Anand, who directed the first "War" movie, will return to the helm or not.
