Disney India Announces The Release Dates Of Avatar 2, Thor 4, Black Panther 2, And Others

Mumbai, October 5 - Disney Studios is going to have a blast in the Indian cinemas in the next 15 months with the number of potential blockbuster movies. The Studio has announced its slate of theatrical releases for Indian audiences which consist of 6 Marvel Studios films, 3 Disney's original movies, and the last is James Cameron's Avatar sequel.
To begin with, the first film by Disney to release in India is Marvel Studios' Eternals. The superhero film starring Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, among others, is slated to hit theaters on Dilwai this year on November 5. It will be clashing with Bollywood's most-awaited cop-drama film "Sooryavanshi" starring Akshay Kumar.
The second film from the studio is again a Marvel movie. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange and Elizabeth Olsen, will release in the next year on March 25, 2022. It will clash with Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer Hindi movie "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2", which will also release on the same date.
Apart from Eternals and Doctor Strange 2, four more Marvel movies Thor: Love And Thunder (May 6, 2022), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (July 8, 2022), Blade (October 7, 2022), and The Marvels (November 11, 2022) are lined up to ignite Indian theaters in the next year.
Other than the aforementioned Marvel movies, Disney will also release its computer-animated musical fantasy comedy film Encanto on November 26, 2021, computer-animated coming-of-age fantasy comedy Turning Red on March 11, 2022, and 3D computer-animated film Pixer - Lightyear on June 17, 2022. And then, the biggest of them all, the long-awaited Avatar 2 on December 16, 2022.
Recently, Disney had released Marvel Studios' new superhero film "Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings" in theaters in multiple languages. The Simu Liu starrer has done a decent business so far and earned approx INR 25 crores.
