Box Office: Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' Set For Big Start In The USA

Los Angeles, August 5 - Superstar Rajinikanth's much-awaited action drama film "Jailer", directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is set for its worldwide release on August 10 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages. It is produced by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures.

"Jailer" is carrying very good buzz among the audiences and it is set to open big at the box office, not just domestically but overseas as well. In the USA, "Jailer" is recording very good pre-sales for the premiere which is scheduled for August 9.



The advance booking for the premieres of "Jailer" has crossed a huge $500K in the USA with 5 days still to go. Industry trackers are expecting at least a $1 million gross collection from premieres only. If this happens, it will become the second film of superstar Rajinikanth to score million dollars in premieres.

"Jailer" is also getting a wide release in other international markets. Rajinikanth's last film "Annaatthe" grossed 16 crores overseas on the opening day and "Jailer" will look to outscore it comfortably.

The movie features Rajinikanth in the lead role while it also stars Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Yogi Babu, and Vinayakan in key roles. "Jailer" will release on August 10, on Thursday, and will enjoy a long Independence Day weekend.
