Box Office: 'Raid 2' Second Day Early Estimates
Mumbai, May 2 - Ajay Devgn's crime thriller Raid 2 has shown a good hold on its second day after scoring one of the biggest openings of the year with approximately 19.25 crores net collection, which exceeded trade expectations.
According to early estimates, Raid 2 has scored in the range of 11-12 crores net collection on its second day, dropping around 35%, which is a good hold considering the fact that the opening day was a partial holiday. The final number can go higher depending on how strong smaller centres are.
The total collection of the movie after 2 days is 30.50+ crores net. It is expected to score big gains on Saturday and Sunday as the 4-day opening weekend will be eyeing 70 crores (+/-). Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Delhi continue to draw audience while other regions are expected to come on board in the next two days.
The real test for Raid 2 will be on Monday, which will determine how far it can go at the box office. The good thing is that there is not much competition, and the trend so far suggests that the movie has found acceptance among its target audience with mixed to positive word of mouth.
