Box Office: Ajith Kumar's 'Good Bad Ugly' Storms Past 100 Crore Worldwide In 3 Days

Chennai, April 13 - Thala Ajith Kumar's action comedy Good Bad Ugly is proving to be a redemption for the actor after getting a big shock earlier this year in the form of VidaaMuyarchi, which was a big box office failure with under 150 crores gross collection worldwide.

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the latest blockbuster is having an excellent opening weekend at the domestic and worldwide box office. Within three days, it had topped 100 crores globally and became only the third Tamil movie of the year to achieve the feat after Dragon (152 crores) and VidaaMuyarchi (136 crores).



Through the first Saturday (3rd day), Good Bad Ugly scored approximately 75 crores gross in India, including around 60 crores in the home state, Tamil Nadu. Overseas, the movie has minted an estimated 40 crores gross for the worldwide cume total of around 115 crores in 3 days.

Good Bad Ugly is expected to become the highest-grossing Tamil title of the year at the end of the first Sunday (4th day) by topping Dragon, and with mixed to positive reception among the audiences, the film is likely have a steady run during the weekdays before scoring big again in the second weekend.

With a strong response so far and a lack of major competition going forward, Good Bad Ugly is certain to become Ajith Kumar's biggest grosser globally. Currently, Thunivu - No Guts No Glory is the actor's biggest grosser with approximately 200 crores, and GBU will easily beat this in the next few days.
