Mumbai, January 3 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's much-awaited horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla is reportedly heading for a possible release date change. The film, which marks the actor's reunion with veteran director Priyadarshan, was earlier announced to hit theatres on April 2, 2026. However, fresh industry buzz suggests that the makers might be reconsidering this date.

According to the reports, Bhooth Bangla is likely to be postponed to avoid a major box office clash. The film's current release window places it dangerously close to Dhurandhar 2, a sequel that is expected to dominate screens and audience attention during the same period. Given the scale and hype surrounding Dhurandhar 2, the makers of Bhooth Bangla said to have decided to postpone the release.
