Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar Tests Covid Positive, Admitted To The ICU

Mumbai, January 11 - As India is witnessing the third wave of the covid-19 pandemic, largely due to the Omicron variant, many people are getting infected with the virus.

In the last couple of weeks, many celebrities within the Indian film industry have tested positive for covid, and now, the legendary Singer Lata Mangeshkar is the latest on the list.



As per reports, the 92-year old Bharat Ratna, Lata Mangeshkar Didi has been admitted to the ICU of Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital after testing positive for covid-19 with mild symptoms. Owing to her age, she has been admitted to the ICU and will be kept under observation.

For the last few days, India is reporting over 1 lakh cases on a daily basis. On Monday, the country reported over 168000 cases, which is the largest count in over 6 months. On the vaccination front, over 150 crores vaccine doses have been procured among the age group of over 15 years.
