Atrangi Re Becomes Most-Viewed Movie on Disney Plus Hotstar for the First Day

Mumbai, Dec 26, 2021: Recently OTT released the movie Atrangi Re received good reviews from critics as well as from the audience. As this movie involves big stars like Akshay Kumar, Dhanush, and Sara Ali Khan, it was expected that it will have a good viewership on OTT.

Annand L Rai's Atrangi Re was released in 2 languages Hindi and Tamil on 24th Dec 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar. Tamil version was released due to the presence of Kollywood superstar Dhanush.



Now the streaming-giant Hotstar revealed that Atrangi Re has set a new record as it had the highest-ever viewership for a new movie on release day. But, exactly how many people have watched it on its first day that has been not revealed yet.

On the theater work-front, Akshay Kumar's Sooryavsnshi was a super hit at the box office and now he will be busy promoting his upcoming movie Prithviraj which is scheduled to release on 21st Jan 2022.

Dhanush's last cinema release was Karnan and it was a hit movie. His upcoming movies are The Gray Man, Maaran, Thiruchitrambalam, Naane Varuven, and Sir.
