Apollo Crews Vs. Kevin Owens – Intercontinental Championship Match Recap & Winner

It was announced earlier that Apollo Crews will make his first title defense since defeating Big E at WrestleMania 37 on April 11, 2021, to become the new champion.





During tonight's SmackDown, Adam Pearce announced that Apollo Crews will put his title on the line against non-other than Kevin Owens. Crews and Owens kept up the good wrestling, Meanwhile, Sami Zayn joined the ringside, back to the ring as Kevin Owens and Apollo Crews took the brawl at the top of the ring post.





Kevin Owens off the Headbutt knocked out, Apollo Crews jumped from the top, but Kevin Owens jumped over the Head and had immediately landed a Superkick for the cover, but kicked out at two.





Apollo Crews stepped up with some massive work, Apollo Crews with three consecutive German Suplex. Apollo Crews with a Splash, but no nobody home, Kevin Owens with back-to-back Cannonball, covered made, but Crews kicked out at two and a half.





Apollo Crews was in trouble, An arm drag followed by a Pop-up Powerbomb, but kicked out at two and a half. Apollo Crews rolled out, Kevin Owens followed up a jump off the apron, and then got Apollo Crews back to the ring.






A little bit of distraction from Azeez, Apollo Crews took the advantage and had rolled up Kevin Owens for three counts.



Winner: Apollo Crews, via pinfall
