Mumbai, February 17 - Salman Khan vs Shahrukh Khan topic is almost equally engaging like Indo - Pak cricket rivalry or El Clasico in football. In reality, both of them apart from being rivals in the box office maintain a very healthy relationship with each other and their families. This bond ages back to more than 3 decades.

Both actors started their careers three decades ago. Salman Khan debuted first in 1988 and became a heartthrob for the audiences from Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) meanwhile Shahrukh Khan debuted as a supporting actor in the movie Deewana (1992) and got his first big break with Superhit movie Baazigar (1993).



The 90's period witnessed Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan ascending the ladder of stardom from being just newcomers. In the present day, both of them are the top 2 active actors in Hindi cinema. Both have built themselves a large fan following in India as well as overseas.

Salman Khan's movies have lost a bit of momentum in the last 3-4 years barring Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat. The expectations for his movies were not met and he is hoping to come back with the next installment most commercially successful franchise in Bollywood, The Tiger Franchise. The movie is tentatively titled Tiger 3, the new name plus the announcement is expected to happen soon once the final phase of the shoot is done. Apart from Tiger 3, he has Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and also potentially Ravindra Kaushik biopic and the Sequel of Bajrangi Bhaijaan in his lineup.
