Mumbai, February 19 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar will be seen as a deadly gangster in the upcoming action-comedy film, Bachchhan Paandey, directed by Farhad Samji, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Production.

The trailer of "Bachchan Pandey" was released on February 18, and as expected, the trailer turned out to be full of power-packed, action, comedy, and crime. The fans are delighted to see Akshay Kumar in a mass look after a long time.



Meanwhile, the trailer garnered a massive number of views on YouTube. With 31 million-plus views (31.3M) and 740K likes in the first 24-hours, the blockbuster response to the trailer shows how excited fans are for this movie, which is due on March 18 on the occasion of Holi. It has become the 6th most-viewed Bollywood movie trailer on a single YouTube channel in the first-24 hours, and also trending at #1 on YouTube.

The official synopsis of the movie tells - "Myra Devekar (Kriti Sanon) is an aspiring director who is given a task by her producer to come up with a gripping gangster biopic flick. She decides to make a biopic on a real-life gangster! Satisfying the producer's need for commercialism and her hunger for making a realistic film. Her extensive research only leads to one name, the most menacing, one-eyed Bachchan Pandey (Akshay Kumar) of Baghwa.

Myra tries her best to find out about him, with the help of an old friend, to develop a film script but fails miserably in all her attempts. When she finally gets the chance to gain an insight into Bachchhan's life, she ends up getting caught by Bachchan Pandey. What happens next in this twist of tales takes us on a roller coaster ride".



"Bachchan Pandey" stars an ensemble cast including Kriti Sanon as Myra Devekar, Jacqueline Fernandez as Sophie, Arshad Warsi as Vishu in prominent roles apart from Pankaj Tripathi, Abhimanyu Singh, Prateik Babbar, Sanjay Mishra, among others in supporting roles.
