Akshay Kumar And Nupur Sanon Starrer, Filhaal 2 Mohabbat, Becomes The Most Viewed Indian Song On Youtube In 24 Hours

Mumbai, July 7, 2021: Akshay Kumar released his highly-awaited music video, Filhaal 2 Mohabbat, co-starring Kriti Sanon's sister Nupur Sanon, on July 6 at 3 PM. The duo reprises their roles as Dr. Kabir Malhotra and Meher Grewal from original Filhaal, which was released in November 2019 and has raked in over a billion views on YouTube.
The video shows Akshay's character recalling his old romance with Nupur's character, feeling sad about letting her slip away, and then tailing her on a bike as she goes on a drive with her husband, played by Ammy Virk. Akshay's character is also shown to be dancing at their wedding, smiling through his tears. However, the music video meets with a tragic end as Akshay died in the accident.
Sung by B Praak and lyrics penned by Jaani, the music video released amid the huge expectation and it lived up to the expectations. As expected, the video received a huge response from the fans, resulted in, Filhaal 2 Mohabbat becomes the most viewed Indian song on Youtube in the first 24 hours of the release.
As per the record, Filhaal 2 gained 50.9 million views in the first 24 hours and left way behind the second-ranked, "Slowly Slowly" by Guru Randhawa, which received 38 million views in the same time. Filhaal 2 is also the most liked Indian music video with 1.9 million likes in the first 24-hours.
Earlier, Badshah's song "Paagal" received 75 million views in 24 hours, and surpassed the viewership record of "Boy with Luv" by K-pop group BTS and American singer Halsey. However, Youtube said in a statement that Badshah's record label, Sony Music India, had purchased advertisements from Google and YouTube that embedded the video or directed fans to it in some way.
On September 13, 2019, YouTube announced that their charts will no longer include paid advertising views. In a statement to Forbes the following day, the platform also confirmed that "Based on our long-time criteria, Badshah did not qualify for our 24-hour debut records list, hence, his song "Paagal" is not in official records, benefitting Filhal 2 to top the Indian list.
