Ajay Devgn-Led Hindi Remake Of 'Kaithi' Is Titled 'Bholaa'

Mumbai, January 13 - Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn had confirmed last year that he would be headlining the Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster "Kaithi". It has now been revealed that the Hindi remake of this much-anticipated action thriller film is titled "Bholaa", and it has already commenced filming in January this year.

The Hindi remake of "Kaithi" is being directed by Dharmendra Sharma, who is Devgn's cousin while the cinematography is being handled by Aseem Bajaj. Ajay Devgn is producing the film under his banner Ajay Devgn Ffilms in association with Dream Warrior Pictures of the original film and T-Series and Reliance Entertainment.



Ajay Devgn took to Twitter and announced the movie and also confirmed that it will release on March 30, 2023, worldwide. Tabu is playing the female lead. "Proudly announcing my next venture Bholaa, releasing on March 30th, 2023", he wrote.

The Tamil film 'Kaithi', directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is a thriller that revolves around an ex-convict on the quest to meet his daughter after leaving prison but is interrupted due to a well-orchestrated drug raid. Starring Karthi in the lead role, the movie was released in 2019 and was a box office hit.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn has several films in the pipeline. Apart from "Bholaa", the actor will kickstart filming of the 3rd installment of Rohit Shetty's "Singham" later this year. He also has the sequel of his blockbuster "Raid", and will begin after "Singham 3". He also recently began the filming of "Drishyam 2", which is the sequel to his 2015's hit.
