It will be Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WWE Day.

In the wake of the stunning announcement by Kayla Braxton last week that Brock Lesnar's suspension has been lifted, Lesnar returned to SmackDown and aspired his will to challenge for the Universal Title.



However, Lesnar was faced by Sami Zayn who is the #1 contender for the Universal Title, said that he would be facing Roman at Day 1 on January 1, 2022. But it was Brock who forced Zayn to face Roman tonight on SmackDown instead. Brock even told Sami that he would be in his corner tonight. Sonya Deville confirmed the title match for later tonight.

Before the match started off, Brock Lesnar hit Zayn with back-to-back three suplexes because the Beast Incarnate didn’t like his promo work. Then he took an F5 before Lesnar propped him up in the corner.

As expected, Reigns came out and hit a spear followed by a guillotine lock for the win. This sets up Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns at Day 1 on January 1st.
