AK61: Ajith Kumar's Character Details From H Vinoth's Directorial Reveal

Chennai, January 8 - The fans of Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar were geared up to watch the actor's "Valimai" on the big screen, slated for January 13 release. While the makers excited fans by dropping the trailer, the covid-19 pandemic once again spoiled the part as makers were with nothing but to postpone the release one more time with a promise to return on the big screen with a bang.

Ajith Kumar, however, will soon be back in the action with his next film. As revealed earlier, the actor will be teaming up with his "Valimai" director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor again for "AK61". It will be another action thriller film billed on strong emotions. Interestingly, Thala Ajith will reportedly be playing a negative role in the film after a long time.



According to a Pinkvilla report, "AK61 marks his return to the negative role space after a long time. Fans have loved Ajith in these shades, and Vinoth has developed a character that would justify the return of the superstar to this space after a long time".

Thala Ajith has previously played negative roles in films like Billa, Mankatha, among others, so it will be interesting to see what the actor will bring new to this space. The report also states that the movie is currently in the pre-production stage and will go on floors on March 9, 2022, if everything goes as per plans. It will be shot in multiple locations in India and overseas over a period of 6-7 months.

Meanwhile, "Valimai" will be Thala Ajith's maiden Pan-India film and will release in Tamil along with dubbed versions of Telugu and Hindi. As per reports, the makers won't delay the film more and will release it within two weeks after the governments decide to raise the restrictions.
