Mumbai, January 11 - Director Aditya Dhar's URI: The Surgical Strike has completed four years since its blockbuster debut in 2019. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film stars Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina, and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. It is based on the Indian Army's surgical strikes on terrorist launchpads in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir in 2016, in retaliation for the terrorist attack on the Indian Army brigade headquarters in Uri.

The film received positive reviews from critics, with praise directed towards the direction, performances, and technical aspects. Vicky Kaushal's performance as Major Vihaan Shergill was particularly praised, and he was widely considered the standout of the film.
