25 Years Of DDLJ: Twitter India Launches An Emoji To Celebrate SRK - Kajol Starrer
Today, October 20 marks the 25th anniversary of one of the biggest all-time blockbuster movies in the history of Indian cinema, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. This Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer is the longest-running Hindi film of all-time as it has played in theatres for 25 long years.
Now, in the mark of respect, Twitter India has launched an emoji to celebrate the silver jubilee of the film which is still refreshed in the hearts of movie lovers even after 25 years of a long time. As Kajol says, "I think DDLJ is timeless because everybody identifies somewhere down the line with Simran and with Raj.

DDLJ was a directorial debut for Aditya Chopra and he couldn't have asked for a better start than this evergreen romantic film which still makes people fall in love all over again.
A bronze statue of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol also unveiled in London's Leicester Square as a part of 'Scenes in the Square' movie trail to celebrate the film. Previously, when the film completed its 20 years of release, SRK and Kajol hosted an event to celebrate this film at Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai where the film has been running for more than two decades.
When the film was released in 1995, it shattered all the box office records. The film was made at a budget of Rs. 4 crores and the blockbuster, in 1995, collected Rs. 73.58 crore (gross) in India, Rs. 30.62 crores in overseas markets. Thus, total collections stood at Rs. 104.20 crore worldwide. In today's inflation-adjusted value, DDLJ's collection stands at a staggering Rs. 430 crore (approx) in India and Rs. 80 crore (approx) in overseas territories, taking the total worldwide collections to a phenomenal Rs. 510 crore.
