STORY:
The movie starts with Yashoda (Samantha) as a poor girl who is in need of money for her sister's health treatment and accepts to be a surrogate mother. The group of surrogate mothers who are carrying the babies of the rich and elites will be taken care of in a private institute called Eva for 9 months until delivery. Yashoda enters the institute as one of the surrogate Mothers. A twist arises where things turn out strange when Yashoda finds that something suspicious is happening with the management. What is the twist? What are Yashoda's findings? What did she do? Did she survive? For all the answers to these questions, you have to watch the movie on the big screen.
ARTIST'S PERFORMANCES:
The movie has surprising characters which have multiple shades when the suspense factor is revealed. Vara Laxmi Sarath Kumar, Unni Mukundan, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Ravu Ramesh, and Murali Sharma nailed it superbly in their supporting roles.
Coming to Samantha, Yashoda can be termed as one of her career's best roles. She carries the entire film on her shoulders. Samantha killed it with her acting skills in multiple layered sequences like sentiment, comedy, emotion, action, and suspense. She has delivered an award-worthy performance in the film.
TECHNICAL ASPECTS:
BGM by Mani Sharma is the soul of the movie which keeps you engaged from start till the end. The cinematography is decent. The editing is crisp as the movie's runtime is less than 150 minutes. The art department should be given special mention as the critical environment which can be seen in international thrillers and web series is brilliantly recreated by the Yashoda team.
Coming to the Writer and Director duo Hari - Harish, have done a great job with the film. Yashoda can be termed as their best work to date. They both narrated the screenplay of the film which is highly entertaining and engaging. One could not predict what happens next and gets surprised by the shocking scenes that come up during the suspense-revealing scenes.
