Atman Simbu, Versatile director Gautam Vasudev Menon and Legendary A.R.Rahman joined hands for the third time and released the Telugu version, "The Life of Muthu" of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu.
STORY
The movie is all about how a poor guy Muthu (Simbu) comes to Mumbai for making a livelihood and is tangled into Gang wars and how he will survive making it big in the Gangster Mafia.
ARTISTS' PERFORMANCES
Simbu is at the top of his game and steals the show. He will be seen in most of the scenes and carried the entire film on his shoulders. His transformation from an innocent poor guy into a ruthless gangster is flawless. This can be termed as one of his best performances.
Siddi is integrated nicely into the movie plot and she delivered a beautiful performance. Both the lead pair share sizzling chemistry on screen. Neeraj Madhav, Radhika, and others gave Natural performances. Jaffer Sadiq is the surprise package and makes you Awe with his acting.
TECHNICAL ASPECTS
Gautam Menon is very good at combining Soulful Music with beautiful visuals extracting the best performances from the artists. He delivered what is expected from him. The movie is very realistic in his own style. He has a separate fan base for his Slow paced yet engaging narration, long single-shot love sequences, and heavy action blocks. After a gap, Gautam delivered another successful film.
Music by A.R.Rahman is Soulful and his BGM is haunting. With beautiful songs and astounding BGM, he gave life to the movie. Camera work by Siddartha Nuni should be specially mentioned as there were great camera angles. Certain scenes have shot with realistic vintage frames and looked authentic on screen. The editing is okay which is on par with the screenplay. Action choreography is brilliant as few action blocks are racy and thrilling. Dubbing in Telugu is also too good and relatable.

CONCLUSION
The movie is lengthy with slow-paced yet keeps you engaged with Novel narration. The songs are superb and shot extremely well on the screen. Especially "Malle Poovu" and "Marchipomanna" are good on screen and keep you reminding after the movie just like the BGM score. The movie is a journey of a poor innocent guy into a ruthless gangster due to unavoidable situations. Engaging screenplay, soulful music, great performances, and superb action blocks are the assets of this film. If you let go of the slow-paced narration and few boring scenes then this movie can be your choice to watch this weekend. Also, there is a cliffhanger at the Climax hinting at the sequel which is already in the making process.
