IB71(2023) A MUST WATCH!! A slick and engaging espionage thriller with a unique plot based on a RAW and Intelligence Bureau mission just before the 1971 Indo-Pak war which seemingly helped India win the war. A covert mission led by IB officer Dev Jammwal (Vidyut Jammwal) alongwith 30 agents to foil the neighbouring country's plans and intentions of a war.A mission which had all the risk of backfiring and endangering the lives of all agents including himself. Patriotic without having chest thumping jingoism.Engaging and gripping screenplay without any songs and dances or formulaic over the top elements,leading to a nail biting finish. Excellent camerawork capturing the beauty and ambience of Kashmir,the boat chase scene is a highlight.A fantastic background score which enhances the gripping screenplay and some effortless and fantastic performances make IB71 a must watch. Vidyut Jammwal(also a co-producer of the film) carries the film on his broad shoulders ably showcasing his acting chops in a story which does not depend on his signature style high quality and high octane action and stunts this time. Anupam Kher adds value with his presence while Vishal Jethwa is brilliant as the brain washed and misguided Kashmiri youth who unknowingly and unwittingly becomes an integral part of the mission. IB71 directed by Sankalp Reddy features Vidyut Jammwal,Anupam Kher,Vishal Jethwa,Ashwath Bhatt,Bijay Anand,Nissar Khan,Dalip Tahil,Mir Sarwar,Faizan Khan, Niharica Raizada and others. A well made espionage thriller is always welcome.One of the better and well made movies I have seen in the past few years. ->MR VRISHKETU RATHORE
