Dharma Productions Announces 'Dhadak 2'; Sets Official Release Date

Mumbai, May 27 - Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has teamed up with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures to announce the sequel of 2018's romantic thriller Dhadak. Directed by Shazia Iqbal in her directorial debut, Dhadak stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the leading roles. ## The official announcement of the movie was made on May 27 with a video which shows that Dhadak 2 is a story about a boy and a girl who fall in love but due to the difference their cast, they have to fight the society to love together. ## The makers have also confirmed that Dhadak 2 will be hitting theaters on November 22, 2024. ## कैसे मिलेंगे - आग और पानी? Cannes, May 25 - Actress Anasuya Sengupta has created history by becoming the first Indian to win the Best Actress award at the Un Certain Regard segment of the Cannes Film Festival. ## Sengupta received the prestigious award for her role in the film Shameless directed and written by Bulgarian filmmaker Constantin Bojanov. R Madhavan Reunites With Ajay Devgn For 'De De Pyaar De 2'

Mumbai, May 24 - Actor R. Madhavan is set to reunite with Bollywood star Ajay Devgn in the sequel to romantic-comedy De De Pyaar De. Directed by Anshul Sharma, DDPD 2 has Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead, reprising her role from the original movie along with Ajay Devgn. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, R. Madhavan has come on board to play a key role which was supposed to be played by Anil Kapoor. Madhavan and Ajay Devgn previously shared screen space in the horror thriller Shaitaan which was released earlier this year and was a big box office success. ## "Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan had a horrific face-off in Shaitaan, and now, come 2025, the duo will again lock horns in De De Pyaar De 2. However, this time around, their on-screen chemistry will have a complete makeover, as the face-off will have a lot of comic undertones", says the report.## The sequel will chronicle comic events in the family of Rakul Preet Singh arising out of the relationship between Ashish (Ajay Devgn) and Ayesha (Rakul). Salman Khan To Start Shooting AR Murugadoss' 'Sikandar' from June 20

Mumbai, May 24 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is gearing up to start shooting for director AR Murugadoss' action drama Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna in June this year. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the movie will be released on Eid 2025. ## According to a report by Mid-Day, Sikandar will go on floors on June 20 with a power-packed schedule in Mumbai. The pre-production was reportedly begun a few days ago and the makers are on track to start rolling it in June this year. ## Murugadoss is presently directing actor Sivakarthikeyan's Sk 23. Chennai, May 23 - Thalapathy Vijay's science fiction action drama The Greatest of All Time post-theatrical digital rights reportedly sold to Netflix for a massive sum of 110 crores, according to a report by Only Kollywood. ## Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT is easily one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year and it is expected to set the box office on fire. Thalapathy Vijay's films have also attracted massive viewership on digital platforms and GOAT is expected to repeat the same despite non-direct OTT release. ## Netflix has been the home of many South Indian films after their theatrical releases and has paid huge prices for the same.
