Hyderabad, May 10 - Superstar Mahesh Babu is thrilled to join forces with maverick director SS Rajamouli for his next after Trivikram's movie. It will be the first time when Babu will headline a film for Rajamouli, who is fresh from one of the biggest Indian blockbusters, "RRR".

SS Rajamouli, who is known for bringing perfection to his movies, often ends up taking longer than expected time in filming. Mahesh Babu, however, is very well aware of what Rajamouli's film will take from him but also knows the fruitful outcome of that.



"Making a film with SS Rajamouli is the equivalent of making 25 films. Even if it takes a bit longer, my fans will definitely feel happy", Babu said when reminded by a journalist about Rajamouli taking 2-3 years in film.

Rajamouli's film with Mahesh Babu will be a Jungle adventure movie from the script being written by Rajamouli's father and screenwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad. It will go on floors in the first half of 2023 and might release in late 2024. Alia Bhatt is said to be the leading lady opposite MB in the movie.

Meanwhile, the "Maharshi" actor is awaiting the release of "Sarkaru Vaari Paata", which is slated for May 12th release. Directed by Parasuram, SVP marks Mahesh Babu's return to the big screen after more than two years. It has Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead.
