'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Beats Odd To Swing Past Magical $1B At The Overseas Box Office

Mumbai, January 31 - Tom Holland-fronted "Spider-Man: No Way Home", amid the covid-19 pandemic and without a single penny from China, has crossed the magical $1 billion mark at the overseas box office. The superhero movie has now grossed $1.003B overseas over the 7th weekend, pushing the global total to a mighty $1.74 billion.
The Marvel/Sony Pictures has now become only the 10th film of all time to reach $1 billion at the international box office. Without China, which is the biggest movie market in the world, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is only the 6th title to achieve the feet. The movie currently stands at number 6 at the worldwide box office among the all-time highest grosser.
"No Way Home" has also become the top-grossing superhero movie ever with a market cume of $120.1M in the United Kingdom, which is currently leading film's overseas box office, followed by Mexico with $74.4M, Korea at $61.5M, France at $61.2M, Australia with $55.2M, and Brazil at $53.8M.
The Jon Watts-directed has beaten "Avengers: Endgame" in 19 international territories to become the highest-grossing title ever there, which are - the UK, Mexico, Croatia, Argentina, Belgium, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lithuania, Mongolia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Syria, Turkey, and Ukraine.
In India, "No Way Home" is the second-biggest non-domestic film ever with $36.2 million. "Avengers: Endgame" is at number one with $63.00 M and will remain at the top. During the covid-era, "No Way Home" is also the 2nd biggest-grossing movie at the Indian box office, after the domestic blockbuster "Pushpa - The Rise".
Meanwhile, the 3rd and final Spider-Man movie in the Homecoming trilogy is currently the 4th biggest-grossing film at the domestic (North America) box office with $735.9 million after the 7th weekend. At the end of its total domestic box office run, "No Way Home" is expected to finish at number 3, beating "Avatar" for the spot.
