Box Office: Blockbuster 'Pathaan' Hits 500 Crores Net In All Versions

Mumbai, February 15 - Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" is unstoppable and proving to be a one-horse race at the box office. The spy actioner is racing towards the epic box office milestone of 1000 crores worldwide. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" has become the first ever Bollywood movie to hit 500 crores net collection. The movie scored approx. 499 crores net through the 3rd Tuesday in all versions, and at the time of penning this piece, it has breached Rs. 5 billion mark. ## The Hindi version of "Pathaan" has earned approx. 482 crores net through 3rd Tuesday (21 days). It is already the highest-grossing Hindi title and has already scored more than 100 crores than the second-placed "Dangal" which scored approx. 374 crores net in Hindi. ## "Pathaan", meanwhile, is chasing history to become the biggest Hindi grosser ever at the domestic box office. Currently, SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2" is the number 1 grosser with 511 crores net. The SRK-starrer will be around 490 crores net at the end of the 3rd week and then, it will need approx. 20 crores more the beat BB2. ## The Yash Raj Films' production was enjoying a free run until now, but this weekend onwards, it will be up against "Shahzada" and "Ant-Man 3" which might dent its chances to go past BB2. Mumbai, February 12 - Spy action thriller, "Pathaan" starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan is running riot at the box office and crossed 900 crores mark within three weeks. ## Also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, "Pathaan" is racing towards 1000 crores at the global box office looking at the current trend, thanks to the historic extended opening week in which the movie grossed approx. 697 crores globally, including 260 crores overseas. ## After such a massive week, "Pathaan" dropped around 78% globally in the second week for approx. 191 crores, reaching 888 crores after two weeks (16 days). Pathaan Third Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, February 10 - Pathaan is heading towards another good day at the box office going by the early estimate figures which suggest around 5 crores net mark on its third Friday. The hold once again has given a chance to the film to cross the collections of Bahubali: The Conclusion.## The third Friday collections will take the total tally of Pathaan to around 464cr net box office mark and now the film needs just another 50cr collection to emerge as the highest-grossing film in the Hindi language beating Bahubali: The Conclusion. ## There will be a growth in the collections tomorrow as it is a Saturday when multiplexes see huge walk-ins while single screens will see it's the best day on Sunday. Pathaan Outscores RRR To Become The Second Biggest Indian Grosser In North America

Los Angeles, February 10 - Shah Rukh Khan-fronted blockbuster "Pathaan" has become the second highest-grossing Indian film in North America, which is one of the biggest international movie markets for Indian titles. ## The spy action thriller, directed by Siddharth Anand, has grossed approx. $14.95 million (123 crores) in 16 days so far at the North American box office. It has outscored SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster "RRR" which has grossed $14.90 million and become the all-time second-biggest Indian and biggest Bollywood movie there. ## Rajamouli's "Baahubali The Conclusion" is currently the number one Indian title in North America with approx. $22 million. Ajay Devgn's Long-Awaited Sports Biopic 'Maidaan' To Be Postponed Again?

Mumbai, February 10 - It seems there is no easy way to get out of jail for Ajay Devgn-fronted "Maidaan". The long-awaited biographical sports drama film is getting difficulties in its release which has led to multiple delays over the last year or so. The movie was supposed to release in February this year, however, the makers recently announced its postponement to May 12, 2023, release. ## Now, according to the latest reports, the Amit Sharma-directed flick has been pushed again to June this year. Bollywood Hungama reports that "Maidaan" has been shifted to June 23 release, which is still a complex date to bring the film to the big screen. ## June 2023 is already flooded with two tentpole titles, "Jawan" (June 2) and "Adipurush" (June 16). Pathaan Third Thursday Early Estimates

Mumbai, February 9 - Pathaan is continuing with its steady run at the box office as the early estimate collections suggest 5.50-6 crores net on its third Thursday which is around a 10-12% drop from yesterday's collections. Even yesterday the film had shown a similar drop.## The third Thursday collections will take the total collections of Pathaan to around 459cr net box office mark as per early estimates. Pathaan has another free week and the first sign of competition will arrive the next week with Shehzada. Overall the job has been done and Pathaan has emerged as one of the biggest box-office hits of the last 15 years. ## The overseas numbers are never seen before as the film is heading for close to the 50 million mark. The previous best were Dangal, Padmaavat, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Dhoom3 all of them were in the 28-30 million range. The overseas record will stay for some years unless another Shah Rukh Khan starrer gets huge appreciation there which is possible with Dunki which is directed by Raj Kumar Hirani. Rajkumar Hirani To Direct Cricketer Lala Amarnath's Biopic After Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki'

Mumbai, February 9 - Blockbuster Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani is currently working on the comedy-drama "Dunki", starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. Pathaan Third Wednesday Early Estimates; Crosses 450 Crores Mark

Mumbai, February 8 - Pathaan continues to hold well after a fantastic second weekend where it emerged as one of the biggest second weekends ever. As per the early estimates, the movie scored around 6.50-7 crores net on its third Wednesday. ## The film is showing a drop of around 10-12% daily which is a good sign. The ticket rates of the film are now more to regular levels and hence the collections are looking good only but with the same pricing as on weekends, the collections would have been excellent. The ticket rates should have been kept on the higher side as it would have helped the film to cross the Bahubali2 numbers which are still possible but not easy. ## The third Wednesday collections will take the total collections of Pathaan to around 453Cr net box office mark becoming the only Bollywood film in history to cross this landmark. The film needs around 50Cr to join the 500cr mark which will make it one of the biggest blockbusters of the last 15 years and 60cr to emerge as the highest-grossing film ever in Hindi languages. ## Pathaan has a free run of another week or so and this has proved to be a huge plus for the film. There should be higher footfalls in the next couple of days for Pathaan due to valentine's week which although is not an official holiday but multiplexes do see higher walk-ins. Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' Plans A Long Promotion Campaign

Mumbai, February 8 - One of the most-awaited and biggest films of the year, "Gadar 2" starring Sunny Deol is getting ready to release during Independence Day 2023 week in theaters worldwide. Directed by Anil Sharma, the movie is the sequel to his all-time blockbuster "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha" (2001). ## "Gadar 2" is produced by Anil Sharma Productions in association with Zee Studios. The movie is the continuation of the first part but the story takes a 20-year leap. As per the early estimates, the movie scored 7.50-8 crores net on its second Tuesday. The film will continue to show similar sorts of drops in the next subsequent days which is a regular for these types of front-loaded biggies. According to early estimates, the spy actioner scored an estimated around 9-10 crores net, depending on night shows. ## "Pathaan" being a frontloaded film is showing incredible hold on weekdays, keeping the dream of reaching 500 crores net alive.
