Uttar Pradesh, Gujrat, Among The New States To Allow 100% Theater Occupancy Ahead Of Sooryavanshi Release

Mumbai, October 31 - Ahead of the big theatrical release of Rohit Shetty's cop drama "Sooryavanshi", the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Gujrat, among the few others, have permitted 100% occupancy in theaters.
As of now, 9 states have allowed theaters to operate with full capacity, and half of them fall in North India, which is a great sign for the "Sooryavanshi" release. West Bengal has allowed 70% occupancy while Punjab theaters are allowed to run with 2/3 (66%) of full capacity. The biggest movie market for Hindi cinema, Maharashtra has permitted cinema halls to run with 50% capacity.
"Sooryavanshi" release date was finalized after the announcement of theaters reopening in Maharashtra. Since then, Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhara Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Orissa, and Uttar Pradesh have been permitted to run with 100% occupancy. 11 states, including Maharashtra, Kerala are still operating with a 50% seating cap.
