Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' Off To Excellent Start In The Advance Booking In The UK

Mumbai, September 8 - Thalapathy Vijay's highly-awaited gangster drama film Leo off to an excellent start in the advance booking in the UK. The movie will be distributed by Ahimsa Entertainment that opened the advances 42 days before the release.

The studio announced via social media that the movie has sold 10K+ tickets worth over £100k within 24-hours, which is the fastest all-time record for an Indian movie in the United Kingdom. The advances opened in just 120 locations and the initial response has been excellent which hints at the record opening for the movie.



"Leo", directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is easily the most-anticipated Tamil movie of the year and it is expected to smash all the records at the box office. The film stars Thalapathy Vijay in the title role and Trisha, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Mysskin, among others.

The movie is part of director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Cinematic Universe which also includes Karthi's "Kaithi", and Kamal Haasan's "Vikram". The movie has been super hot in the trade, and as per reports, it has already done a business of over 400 crores worldwide from theatrical and non-theatrical rights.

"Leo" is scheduled to release on October 19 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, languages.
