Swerve Strickland Picks Up A Big Win, Defeats Rob Van Dam In Hardcore Match On 1/31 AEW Dynamite

During the January 31st episode of AEW Dynamite, "Hangman" Adam Page threw Swerve Strickland a curveball, selecting Rob Van Dam as his opponent in the "Dealer's Choice" match.

To spice things up, Page also stipulated a Hardcore Match, setting the stage for a chaotic brawl. Although Van Dam initially controlled the tempo, Strickland ultimately emerged victorious.



A devastating "House Call" followed by his signature "Swerve Stomp" sealed the deal, leaving the veteran grappler pinned in the center of the ring. The post-match scene saw a tense exchange between Strickland and Page.

However, the animosity quickly dissipated, replaced by mutual respect and a hunger for competition. Both agreed to lock horns on the February 7th edition of Dynamite, with the winner earning a coveted shot at the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe at the upcoming Revolution event.
