Mumbai, December 26 - The year 2020 wasn't a great one for the film industries across the world, and Hollywood was no different. The covid-19 pandemic was at its peak which caused theaters around the world to close their doors, and film studios were forced to delay their tentpoles titles waiting for cinemas to resume operation.
However, towards the end of 2020 on Christmas, Hollywood finally show a tentpole release in the form of Gal Gadot's superhero film "Wonder Woman 1984". The Patty Jenkins-directed was released on December 25 in North America in theaters and on HBO Max simultaneously. It did a worldwide business of $166.5 million while it was one of the most-watched films on the streamer, HBO Max.
Gal Gadot, who played the title role as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, celebrated the first anniversary of this incredible movie and shared the BTS pics with director Patty Jenkins and her co-star Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Maxwell Lord, on Saturday (December 25). The actress can be seen having fun moments with them.
The Israeli model actress even shared a heartfelt note with the pictures and she said, "WW84 is 1 year old! Can't believe it's been a year since this incredible movie came out and touched so many hearts! I'm so grateful to be playing such an amazing character, to spread her powerful message, and share her wonder with all of u. Can't wait to be back in those boots..."
Gadot will be returning as Wonder Woman in the third installment of this widely popular film franchise. Patty Jenkins is currently writing the script and will also be directing the film. The plot of 'Wonder Woman 3' will said to be based on modern times, and not on the past life of Diana.
Gal Gadot was recently seen in "Red Notice" alongside Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Renolds. The movie became Netflix's most-watched film of all time. Meanwhile, Gadot's upcoming films include a mystery thriller "Death on the Nile", scheduled for February 11, 2022, in theaters. She also has the "Cleopatra", due to go on floors next year.
